Kyong Yi
She/Her

With over 20 years of experience as a licensed therapist, I’ve had the privilege of walking alongside individuals navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, and the profound pain of disconnection. These struggles often leave people feeling isolated, shut down, or unsure how to move toward the life and relationships they long for.

My work has always been about helping people reclaim connection—within themselves, with others, and with their humanity. In recent years, I’ve been inspired by the expanding research on mushrooms and their potential to reduce suffering and foster meaningful transformation. While these experiences can open powerful doors to healing and insight, they are not instant solutions. The mindset you bring, the environment you’re in, and what you do before and after the experience all play a crucial role in shaping lasting benefits.

My approach to mushroom facilitation is grounded, trauma-informed, and rooted in safety, trust, and intention. As an Asian-American immigrant, I carry a deep understanding of what it means to live between worlds—of identity, culture, language, and belonging. This lived experience informs my commitment to creating a space that is safe, inclusive, and welcoming to people from all backgrounds. I strive to honor the complexity of each person’s story and to hold space for the intersections of race, culture, gender, ability, and lived experience in the healing process.

I bring not only clinical expertise but also direct experience from the research world. I’ve served as a study therapist on several clinical trials. This has strengthened my belief in the healing potential of these medicines—not as standalone solutions, but as catalysts when paired with skilled, compassionate support.

Whether you’re seeking healing, reconnection, or personal growth, I offer a presence that is steady, respectful, and attuned. It would be an honor to support you on your path, with care, integrity, and deep respect for your inner wisdom.

E.R. May, 2026. Kyong was great! She is experienced, she was gentle, kind, patient, and let my experience be what it was. She also did a fantastic job recentering me when it was difficult or when I got caught or stuck in a repetitive thought loop. The one-on-one with Kyong was pretty great. It's an experience that will facilitate safe levels of self-exploration that you didn’t even know were possible.

T.P. April 2026. Kyong was an incredible communicator and highly empathetic. She was the perfect balance of professionalism and kindness. [Our session] was among the most meaningful experiences of my life.

J.B. March, 2026. Kyong was incredibly kind during my session; she was the grounding voice I needed while I felt a wide range of emotions. For me, she was exactly what I needed. I can not put into words how meaningful this experience was for me.

R.C. Oct, 2025. Kyong is wise, kind, trusting, and has expert credentials. Further, I felt she cared deeply about me from the moment we met until the closure of our last integration session. And she did everything she could to ensure the journey served me and my intentions well. She is deeply purposeful in this work, and it shines through.
